Guangzhou Tao Tao Ju Co., Ltd. was established in November 2012.  It was acquired by Guangzhou Restaurant Group Co., Ltd. in August 2019 and completed its mixed ownership reform in June 2021. The company's main business includes food sales and catering services.

The "Tao Tao Ju" brand, a time-honored Chinese brand, originated in 1880 (the sixth year of the Guangxu Emperor's reign) and has a history of 143 years, making it one of the most renowned tea houses in Guangzhou. It was once a popular gathering place for scholars, artists, and prominent business people.  The name "Tao Tao Ju" was even hand-written by Kang Youwei, a famous scholar of the Qing Dynasty, signifying the leisurely enjoyment of tea and conversation.

Tao Tao Ju's products include mooncakes for the Mid-Autumn Festival, rice dumplings for the Dragon Boat Festival, signature snacks, and other ready-to-eat and frozen foods.  Its "Tao Tao Ju Shangyue" mooncake has been hailed as a "legendary mooncake."  Its retail outlets include tea house chains and snack shop chains. Its sales channels cover major supermarkets and traditional markets, and through the internet, it has rapidly expanded nationwide.

In 2015, Tao Tao Ju opened modern-style tea houses outside the old Xiaguan district, perfectly blending traditional Cantonese culture with modern elements, offering a fresh interpretation of classic Cantonese cuisine. To date, Tao Tao Ju has opened branches in Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Xiamen, and other cities, with each store becoming one of the most popular and successful restaurants in its respective location.  This time-honored brand has thus re-emerged with renewed vitality and vigor.
